Softness is not the opposite of strength.
I write for the woman who was told she had to choose — the faith or the ambition, the family or the fire. You don’t. You were made to hold the whole of it, and I write to help you keep every part.

A gift to begin with
The Morning Five — five small things for the first ten minutes of the day, before the house wakes, that quietly change how all the rest of it goes. Yours, free, when you join the letter.
What I write about
On wanting more
You are allowed to want the fuller life — the ambition, the work that is yours, the room of your own — and to say so without lowering your voice. Wanting has never been the same thing as weakness, and nothing in this life is owed to you, which turns out to be the most freeing thing a woman can know.
Read moreOn staying soft
Rest, faith, tenderness — these were never the price of strength. They are its source. You can keep every gentle thing about yourself and still be a woman no one would think to underestimate twice.
Read moreOn building a life
You can give yourself to the work, the home, the calling — and not vanish into any of them. You are your own material, and the making is the point. This is how a woman builds the whole of it and still knows the face in the mirror.

My story
I'm Kitty.
I dropped out of college, married young, and failed at nearly everything I tried before anything worked. I don’t write to you as someone who has it all figured out — I write as someone who remembers exactly how hard it was to get here.
It’s a longer story than a homepage can hold: the failures, the faith, the family, and the one thing I refused to give away through all of it. If you want to know who is writing to you, that is where to start.

January is a wish. September is a reckoning — and the woman who knows the difference builds a life that holds.
The Reset No One Decorates
September is the real January. The honest reset happens after the glow, when the ordinary asks to be chosen again.
The Closeness That Costs You
Gossip feels like intimacy. It isn't. It's a loan you take at someone else's expense, and the interest is your own character.
You Were Never Meant to Perform
Feeling alone in a full room is not a flaw. It is a diagnosis — and it is pointing you somewhere.
